Professor Xie Renjie from Tamkang University in Taiwan visits the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering

On October 28th to 29th, Professor Xie Renjie from Tamkang University in Taiwan visited the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. 

Professor Xie Renjie gave an academic lecture titled Nickel catalyzed intramolecular denitrification and cyclization of 1,2,3-benzotriazin-4 (3H) - ketone nitriles: A platform for obtaining polycyclic quinazolinone alkaloids to the faculty and students of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. The lecture was hosted by Vice Dean Li Ya. The attending teachers and students exchanged views on the catalytic applications of transition metals in organic synthesis. 

Professor Xie Renjie also conducted comprehensive and in-depth discussions with representatives of the college teachers on multiple dimensions such as student cultivation, discipline construction, teaching research, talent development, and international cooperation. In addition, Professor Xie also participated in the student union, learned about the graduate training mode of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and provided guidance for students' scientific research work.
